Here's a taste of 'Dark Angels'

Preface:
I ran all day. The temperature dropped and I wondered if there would be snow tonight. I hoped it would hold off until after I could hand myself over to the Balance Keepers. The daylight was fading once more giving it's self over to the night. The forest was quiet around me as the rain began to fall. Taking advantage of the light drizzle, I paused in my headlong flight, and leaned my back against a giant redwood. As I took in deep breaths, trying to scent out my query, I caught another subtle change in the air. Snow. It would snow soon. The odor was an unmistakable clean crisp scent in the rain. It mingled with the heady aroma of the forest around me. A tear trickled down my cheek at the thought of leaving everything I loved behind. Saying goodbye to this place was painful. I drew in another deep breath of forest perfume trying to chase away the other memories, Gabriel's face, his touch, his scent. Every fiber of my being wanted to turn around and run back to him. To tell him I was so sorry for leaving him, but I could not do that. I had to try and save him! A sob welled up in my throat and I swallowed it back down as I pushed myself off the tree and began moving again. If I kept monving, I wouldn't have time to dwell on Gabriel. My pace was slower now; I was more intent on finding the Balance Keepers than putting more distance between Gabriel and myself. I worried that if I continued to run recklessly into the dense greenery, I would pass then up and they would find Gabriel rather than me. As the rain changed to snow I began to consider how much easier I would be tracked in the snow. If the wrong person were following me... I moved to the river ready to track through the water the minute the snow began to accumulate. At the waters edge, the wind changed and I could smell another presence in the forest. It was unlike anything I was used to, not human or animal. I knew instantly that it would be them. Sighing half with relief and half with resignation, I began moving in their direction. His voice suddenly rang out in the woods, and I froze, "Evangeline! Where are you!? Why did you run from me!?" The tears and anguish in Gabriel's voice broke my heart. I bit my lip; hard enough to draw blood once again, and turned away from the direction of his voice. Answering him now ould ruin any chance of saving him. I had to deep moving, now toward my fate. If I could reach them before he picked up my trail, I could still save him.

About my Novel 'Dark Angels'

I haven't been on here for awhile because I have been busy writing a novel. I am nearly finished now with 'Dark Angels' so I am giving you this basic overview.

Dark Angels is a supernatural, romantic, action packed adventure-

Evangeline Magnus is a half blood immortal who lives a lonely life. She has managed to remain hidden from the full blood immortal law keepers, since the death of her parents when she was a child. Her half blood makes her an immediate target for death, according to immortal law.

She passes herself off as a human and lives among the mortal population comfortably; her life has remained unchanged for millennia. That all changes when a hansom stranger visits her archeological dig in Egypt, where she is playing the role of Dr. Evangeline Lyle.

She is introduced to Gabriel Poeme, and he ignites emotions in her she has never experienced.

When she and Gabriel begin working together on her museum exhibit, things become more complicated. She discovers she is powerless against her budding love for him; if their relationship were to be discovered, it would be a death sentence for them both.

What Evangeline doesn't know is Gabriel is hiding secrets of his own...

The duo battle ancient evil and the odds to prove true love can overcome anything!

O.k. so here are some more pages for my fantasy coloring book. I've decided to make it a 20 page book full of mermaids, dragons, fairies, and a prince or two.

After this one is completed I'm thinking of putting together a feline coloring book! Wish me luck!

I just purchased a set of manga pens for myself and this is my first time using them.
I really like the way they look, don't you? These pens have wonderful brush like tips which allow for some wonderful detail work.
This piece is ACEO size and I named her 'Hippy Chic', but maybe 'The Idealist' would've suited her better ;-).

I'm fascinated by manga and anime! The Japanese have rolled drama, suspence, action, love, and humor into every published piece of work.
I do a lot of Inuyasha fan art because it was this show that got me drawing again after almost 7 yrs.
An artist isn't truly herself unless she is creating!

The Royal Yawn

Lions may be the king of beasts but I think they are little more than super sized house cats.

Lions spend most of their day grooming, sun bathing, and of course napping.

This young Lioness is showing off her best yawn and her sharp teeth!

The warm weather is here, time for thoughts of cool days on the beach! These two bathing beauties are anime mercats. The first little lady likes to spend her days collecting shells while her friend enjoys drawing pictures in the sand.

Meet Paka my little half Bengal. He's a spirited little guy and will be featured in many more pieces by me.
This one is colored pencil, watercolor, and ink on Bristol board.
I put him in the flowers peeking out as if to say 'Peek a Boo, I See You'.
Don't be fooled by his sweet innocent look, he'll shred your curtains if given the chance! :-D

Hi there!
I'm a 30ish self taught artist who is owned by two cats, one 6yr old boy, and my super sweet hubby : -).
I do mostly feline subjects, a little anime, and even on occasion an auto or two. My favorite things to work with are colored pencil and ink and watercolor and ink. My favorite paper is Bristol board which can be used for almost everything!
